JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 11, 2021) - Lt. Cmdr. Jason Hardwick, a physician at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s emergency department, updates a patient with test results. Hardwick, a native of Fayetteville, Georgia, recently returned from deployment with a Navy Expeditionary Medical Unit in U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility. He says, “Here at our hospital, we work together as a team. Compassion and empathy is a big part of my job, while navigating with our patients through the difficult and complex pathology that led them to our Emergency Department.
