Capt. Adam Armstrong accepts a flag from Capt. William Deniston during Naval Medical Research Center’s (NMRC) change of command, June 18. Rear Adm. Tim Weber, commander, Naval Medical Forces Pacific, presided over the ceremony during which Armstrong turned over the helm to Deniston. NMRC is the lead medical research lab for the U.S. Navy’s Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and has seven subordinate laboratories that conduct research in infectious diseases, biological warfare detection and defense, combat casualty care, environmental health, aerospace and undersea medicine, epidemiology and behavioral sciences, and medical modeling, simulation and operational mission support.
