Sgt. 1st Class Richard Wilson, from Jacksonville, Fla., and Master Sgt. John Kelly, from Newport News, Va., members of the 1173rd Transportation Battalion, direct a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected armored vehicle prior to it being driven off the ship that delivered the first group of MRAPs to a port in Kuwait, Nov. 25. The MRAPs, the first to be delivered by ship, will be taken to U.S. Marines fighting in Iraq. The MRAPs have proven capabilities to reduce combat deaths and casualties associated with roadside bombs.
