NORFOLK, Va. (July 15, 2021) – Admirals in attendance listen to remarks from Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, during the Joint Force Command Norfolk Full Operational Capability ceremony. Joint Force Command Norfolk declared Full Operational Capability during a ceremony on board USS Kearsarge on July 15, 2021. JFC Norfolk stands as the operational embodiment of the transatlantic link. It will continue to maintain security of the strategic lines of communication between Europe and North America and enable the reinforcement of Europe from North America.
