Lt. Cmdr. Angelique McBee, P.E., center, the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction for Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, briefs Andy Tobin, left, the Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives, about the transformation of the air station in anticipation of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, Sept. 26. "The Speaker and his staff were very interested in the incorporation of Low Impact Design and LEED Silver criteria, and actively engaged in discussions on the solar power and energy efficiency that have been included into the new JSF construction projects," said McBee. The station has gone through numerous changes over the last year, with construction operating nonstop. “If you want to get things done in a short amount of time, leave it to the Marine Corps,” said Tobin. “It took longer than 12 months to build my house!”
