U.S. Army Sgt. Edward Flick, assigned to B Company 425th Brigade Special Troops Battalion of Manteca, Calif., takes two roses - one for his wife and one for his 3-year-old daughter - handed out for redeploying soldiers to give to loved ones as 500 soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division returned to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, after a 10-month deployment to Afghanistan. They were welcomed home during a short ceremony at Buckner Physical Fitness Center then reunited with their families. Nearly 2,300 soldiers have returned home so far, and approximately 1,200 are scheduled to arrive within the next few weeks.
