U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from the 311th Medical Detachment (Surgical) out of Gillem, Georgia, set up a field hospital tent during Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX) and Global Medic at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Aug. 10, 2021. The field hospital is designed to accommodate 94 hospital beds and consists of two intensive care units, three intensive care wards, two minimal care detachment wards, computer tomography, X-ray, pharmacy, blood lab, two operating rooms, central sterile processing, and patient registration. All tents are set up to accommodate patient flow. The medical units participating in the exercise will work together to assess the patient’s needs. The 78th Training Division, in charge of this rotation of CSTX, intends for the exercise to prepare Army Reserve Soldiers for near-peer adversary environments. (U.S. Army Photo by Staff Sgt.
