U.S. Army National Guard Pfc. Colee Nolan, a Soldier with the 347th Regional Support Group Headquarters and Headquarters Company returns fire on a M249 machine gun in reaction to ambush during a mounted patrol at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin on Aug. 13, 2021. The particular exercise was a part of Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX), a reserve training exercise that evalutes and builds soldier readiness, lethality as well as increasing modernization efforts. Observer Coach Trainers from 78th Readiness Division oversaw the event and trained Soldiers on where they needed to improve, as well as commending them on proper mission executuion.
