20210812-N-CE120-1001 KWAJALEIN, Marshall Islands (August 12, 2021) Utilitiesman 2nd Class Cody Brown (top) and Construction Mechanic 2nd Class Jonathan Velasco, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Marshall Islands, install a new starter in an 11k forklift in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands. The U.S. Navy Seabees in Marshall Islands are preparing for several projects, including a sidewalk for the local church, repairing the local bank’s fence, and building a two-story police substation. NMCB-5 is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific, strengthening our network of allies and partners, and providing general engineering and civil support to joint operational forces. Homeported out of Port Hueneme, California, NMCB-5 has 10 detail sites deployed throughout the U.S. and Indo-Pacific area of operations.
