The Tres Rios Phase III Flow Regulating Wetlands, built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District, received the 2012 Crescordia award from the Valley Forward Association in the Site Development and Landscape: Public Sector category. The overall project makes use of reclaimed treated wastewater to create a wetlands in Phoenix's West Valley and provide water to the areas river systems.
