Drake Helton, an indirect fire infantryman assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, conducts mortar proficiency training with the Royal Thai Army as part of Exercise Cobra Gold 21, Aug. 5, 2021, in Chon Buri province, Kingdom of Thailand. Exercise Cobra Gold, now in its 40th year, is a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored training event that builds on the longstanding friendship between the two allied nations and promotes regional peace and security in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
