Royal Thai and U.S. service members place C-4 explosives over M16 and PMD landmines for large scale detonation during Exercise Cobra Gold 21 at Ta Mor Roi training area in Surin Province, Thailand, Aug. 7, 2021. Royal Thai and U.S. Armed Forces worked together during the exercise to conduct landmine disposal operations, render-safe procedure training, and partnered medical response trauma training. This exercise is aligned with the U.S. Dept. of Defense Humanitarian Mine Action Program, which assists partnered nations affected by landmines, explosive remnants of war, and the hazardous effects of unexploded ordnance.
