More than a grind… Rear Adm. Bruce Gillingham, Navy surgeon general and chief, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and Force Master Chief Michael Roberts, Director of the Hospital Corps visit the Dental Clinic at Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor during their two day visit to the Pacific Northwest, strongly advocating that dental readiness is an integral part of overall operational readiness. The Navy Dental Corps recently celebrated their 109th birthday the day before Navy Medicine leadership visited and the active duty dental doctors and dental technicians, along with civilian dental assistants and dental hygienists are responsible for ensuring that all Sailors and Marines assigned to their respective commands in the third largest fleet concentration area that is Puget Sound are fit for current and future readiness.
