An MV-22B Osprey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 363 (Reinforced), Marine Rotational Force-Darwin, lands to pick up a combined force to support an aerial raid during Exercise Koolendong at Bradshaw Field Training Area, NT, Australia, Aug. 29, 2021. U.S. Marines and Australian Army soldiers conducted the raid in order to seize an objective during the exercise’s culminating event. Exercises like Koolendong validate MRF-D’s and the Australian Defence Force’s ability to conduct expeditionary command and control operations, demonstrating the shared commitment to being ready to respond to a crisis or contingency in the Indo-Pacific region.
