U.S. Air Force KC-46A Pegasus pilots assigned to the 916th Air Refueling Wing, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, provide fuel for an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft assigned to the 71st Rescue Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, during a flight near Moody AFB, Aug. 24, 2021. Air-to-air refueling allows aircraft to travel greater distances without needing to land, which enables Airmen to accomplish prolonged operations. The 71st RQS is the first operational unit to be refueled by the KC-46A Pegasus. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Rebeckah Medeiros)
