U.S. Army Sgt. Andrew Pagotto, a crew chief with 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment “Fighting Eagles,” 1st Combat Aviation Brigade (1CAB), measures how much room the static-line cable has to move after it was attached to the CH-47 Chinook helicopter at Illesheim Army Airfield, Germany, Sept. 9, 2021. Pagotto was preparing the Chinook for a mission during 1CAB’s deployment to Europe as a rotational force in support of Atlantic Resolve. The U.S. Army’s assurance activities conducted over the last few years through Atlantic Resolve demonstrate the U.S. ability to fulfill its NATO commitment to respond to threats against allies.
