Operation NOBLE DEFENDER is under the operational control of the Canadian NORAD Region Headquarters and demonstrates agile and dynamic force employment to and from critical NORAD forward operating locations along North America’s northern approaches.
The CH-149 Cormorant is a long-range helicopter dedicated to search and rescue and it can operate in severe conditions, making it ideal for Canada’s challenging geography and climate. Its advanced system provide a stable hover for critical hoisting operations.
