Major Philson Tavernier, left, and a wreath bearer place a red, white and blue wreath at the base of the Fort Jackson flagpole in Centennial Park to honor every American who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11 and the past 20 years of conflict. Seven wreaths were placed at the flagpole during a wreath laying and remembrance ceremony on Sept. 10, 2021.
