Patrick Carrigan, great nephew of U.S. Navy pharmacist's mate 3rd Class George L. Paradis, lays a flower on his great uncle's casket during an interment ceremony held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii, Oct. 7, 2021. Members of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) and attending family members paid their respects and honored the life of Paradis, who was assigned to the USS Oklahoma when the ship was attacked by Japanese aircraft during World War II.
