U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Garett Decker, an expeditionary firefighting and rescue specialist, with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 172, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, prepares the Marine Expeditionary Firefighting System to be loaded onto a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter on Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 7th, 2021. The MFER is an experimental firefighting system that enables fire rescue Marines to quickly respond to emergencies.
