U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Sarah Certano, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command, Camp Pendleton, California, helps an ICU patient take their medication as part of the COVID response operations at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, Oct. 19, 2021. Certano deployed from California and belongs to a Department of Defense medical readiness team at the medical center who supports the hospital in the fight against the COVID virus. Sailors assigned to NMRTC deployed from Camp Pendleton, California in support of the continued DoD COVID response operations to help communities in need. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-of-government COVID response.
