Maj. Christopher Royal, who serves as the command systems integrator at 1st Theater Sustainment Command's operational command post at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, deployed to Kuwait three decades ago as a 19-year-old paratrooper in the 1st Battalion, 39th Field Artillery Regiment, then part of the 82nd Division. The major deployed to Kuwait in August with the Fort Bragg, North Carolina, based 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, whose Soldiers are staffing the 1st TSC-OCP for a nine-month tour.
