Shanti Durairaj, lead mammographer, Breast Imaging Center of the John P. Murtha Cancer Center at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, conducts a tomosynthesis mammogram, which allows providers to see a three-dimensional image of the breast. Mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat and before it is big enough to feel or cause symptoms.
