U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Edgar Montenegro, 52nd Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels Section lead at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, has been supporting Blue Flag 21 at Uvda Air Base, Israel, since the exercise began Oct. 17, 2021. During this year’s Blue Flag exercise, the Fuels Management Flight Airmen were able to showcase a newly developed aircraft refueling adapter, known as the Versatile Integrating Partner Equipment Refueling (VIPER) kit, to international partners to demonstrate U.S. Air Force flexibility for deployments around the world.
