U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Maureen Eggleston of the Maryland National Guard’s 629th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Battalion poses for a photo at the Six Flags America Mass Vaccination Site in Bowie, Maryland, Feb. 24, 2021. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Arcadia Hammack)
Eggleston is a Crofton, Maryland, native and is currently working as a Traffic Section Lead on the Six Flags America Mass Vaccination site, ensuring that Marylanders receive the COVID-19 vaccine in a timely and orderly fashion. When she is not serving the community, you can find her working as a Watch Officer for Allied Universal or doing all things outdoors to include scuba-diving, kayaking and reading.
“It means a lot to be here because as somebody who has an immunocompromised family member, being able to help the community grow and get this vaccine means more than words can really say these days,” said Eggleston. “The National Guard has provided me so many opportunities, and I’ve met so many people that have profoundly changed my life for the better. I look forward to continuing to serve the community in any capacity as need be.”
