Army Cpl. Timaney Anderson, a student at the Noncommissioned Officer Academy at Fort McCoy, Wis., leads other NCOs in reciting the NCO Creed following a lateral promotion ceremony that featured 20 specialists being promoted to corporal, Oct. 26, 2021. The ceremony comes after an Army policy stating that all Soldiers in the rank of specialist who complete the Basic Leader Course and are recommended for promotion at a board will be laterally promoted to corporal.
