U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Europe District Project Engineer Silvia Schlepper and Resident Engineer Mario Fuquene discuss progress July 29, 2021 on a noise mitigation project at a Panzer Kaserne training range in Stuttgart as a new wall is erected that will hold wooden features specially designed to mitigate noise generated by military training activities. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is implementing the range improvements, which are the result of collaboration between the U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart, the 7th Army Training Command, the nearby City of Böblingen and the local German construction authority known as the Bauamt, to reduce the noise impacts to the nearby community members that stem from activity on the range.
