SURABAYA, Indonesia (Nov. 2, 2021) Mineman 1st Class Christian Sims-Faulk, attached to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 1, explains Mk 1 Mod 1 unmanned underwater vehicle to Indonesian military personnel during Cooperation Afloat and Readiness and Training (CARAT) Indonesia 2021. In its 27th year, the CARAT series is comprised of multinational exercises, designed to enhance U.S. and partner navies’ abilities to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
