He was selected as the Commander, Submarine Forces Atlantic (COMSUBLANT) 2020 Sea Sailor of the Year. Golden is assigned to Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Florida (SSGN 728) Gold Crew, and was later pinned to the rank of chief petty officer during a ceremony held on base, Nov. 19, 2021.
