This morning, Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) Sergeant Major (SgtMaj) Johnathan Radel joined Military District of Washington Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Franklin Velez, U.S. Army, and Sector Maryland-National Capital Region Master Chief Petty Officer (MCPO) Kevin Eldridge, U.S. Coast Guard, to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. MCICOM exercises command and control of Marine Corps installations via regional commanders in order to provide oversight, direction and coordination of installation services and to optimize support to the Operating Forces, tenants and activities.
