Members of 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment (1-4CAV) “Quarterhorse,” 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division (1/1ID) use a terrain map to prepare for reconnaissance operations during Combined Resolve XVI at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany, Dec. 5, 2021. A terrain map is a tool created by platoon leaders to help their troops visualize and rehearse assigned mission objectives.
