Defense Department Support to FEMA COVID-19

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- U.S. Army Capt. Eric Carter, a family medicine physician assigned to Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital, dons an N95 mask before seeing a COVID patient at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, Dec. 6, 2021. Applying PPE before seeing patients helps stop the spread of the disease and keeps Soldiers mission ready. The medical response team deployed in support of the continued Department of Defense COVID response operations to help communities in need. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-of-government COVID response. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Ty Baggerly)
