Jeffrey L. Hammond, the camp commander of Camps Foster and Lester and commanding officer of Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, cut a ribbon during the grand reopening ceremony for the library on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 2, 2021. The ceremony consisted of a ribbon cutting, tour of the renovations, and a performance by the III Marine Expeditionary Force Band. The library showcased renovations with a variety of new education sections and a reorganization of the children and youth area to adhere to a broader range of interests for service members and their families.
