    Century-old tree documented in Fort McCoy’s Pine View Recreation Area

    Forestry Technician Tim Parry with the Forestry Office of the Directorate of Public Works Environmental Division Natural Resources Branch takes measurements and more Dec. 2, 2021, while documenting the size of a large white pine tree located along the La Crosse River in Pine View Recreation Area near Pine View Campground at Fort McCoy, Wis. The tree is estimated to be more than a century old and is believed to the largest in the recreation area and one of the oldest and largest on the installation.
