    Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Command Master Chief Ken Shimizu, command master chief, Fleet Air Wing 4, describes the meaning of each section of a Japanese Kadomatsu during a cultural exchange ceremony at Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi headquarters. The NAF Atsugi Chiefs Mess and JMSDF Chiefs Mess exchanged a wreath and Kadomatsu in celebration of U.S. and Japanese holiday season traditions. The Kadomatsu is decoration made up of cut pine and bamboo that adorns the entrance of Japanese buildings during the New Year's season.
