Trey Branch, an 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron Forward Area Refueling Point (FARP) team chief, prepares for a FARP refueling during Operation Iron Dagger on Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Dec. 7, 2021. FARP specialists perform covert nighttime refueling operations in deployed locations when air-to-air refueling is impossible or where fueling points are inaccessible. This dynamic force employment demonstrated the 354th Air Expeditionary Wing’s ability to rapidly mobilize and deploy fifth generation airpower across the Indo-Pacific theater.
