A U.S. Army service members with Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa comes up for air after completing water obstacles of the French Desert Commando Course (FDCC) at the Le centre d'entraînement au combat de Djibouti (CECAD) in Arta Plage, Djibouti. CJTF-HOA service members were recognized Nov, 29, 2021, for completing the physically demanding course. During FDCC, U.S. forces serve under a French battalion commander and are evaluated on mountain confidence, knot tying, night obstacle courses, aquatic obstacle courses, and battle maneuver tactics.
