A U.S. Army service member with Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa completes water obstacles as part of the French Desert Commando Course (FDCC) at the Le centre d'entraînement au combat de Djibouti (CECAD) in Arta Plage, Djibouti. CJTF-HOA service members were recognized Nov, 29, 2021, for completing the physically demanding course. During FDCC, U.S. forces serve under a French battalion commander and are evaluated on mountain confidence, knot tying, night obstacle courses, aquatic obstacle courses, and battle maneuver tactics.
