Ambassador Peter Haymond, U.S. Embassy in Laos, leaves an excavation site during a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) recovery mission in the Xiangkhouang province, Laos, Nov. 24, 2021. The Ambassador’s visit consisted of tours of the recovery team’s medical station, wet screen station and site excavation. There are currently 1,584 unaccounted for Americans from the Vietnam War.
