This is an informational timeline graphic depicting Eleanor Wackernagel's life and historically-significant NATO events. Wackernagel, a longtime NATO volunteer, who served from 1954-1971 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, spent much of her adult life promoting NATO to the public. This graphic, and others like it, was created as part of the Ellie Wackernagel exhibit, a portion of the larger traveling NATO ACT historical display, using vector and raster-based imagery and techniques in Adobe InDesign. It was first featured at NATO ACT's Change of Command Ceremony in September 2021 and has been shown at every significant ACT event since. Allied Command Transformation is NATO’s warfare development command located in North America, dedicated to preserving the peace, security, and territorial integrity of Alliance member states by leading the warfare development of military structures, forces, capabilities and doctrines.
