A U.S. Marine tactical air defense controller with Marine Air Control Squadron (MACS) 4, controls various aircraft during Ryukyu Vice at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 15, 2021. Ryukyu Vice is a joint fixed-wing aviation command and control exercise that provides critical training to 1st Marine Aircraft Wing tactical air control personnel through offensive, defensive and counter-air live-flight scenarios. During the exercise MACS-4 Marines practiced air intercept control using the AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar.
