U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Michael Mickus, 356th Fighter Squadron director of operations, briefs Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall on the wing’s recent fifth generation deployment at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Dec. 21, 2021. The 354th Fighter Wing recently deployed 12 F-35A Lightning IIs to Japan to demonstrate agile combat employment. During the visit Kendall had the opportunity to meet Airmen and tour the wing’s F-35A Lightning II and F-16 Fighting Falcon.
