JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Dec. 8, 2021) - Sherrie Batson, diabetes educator at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s Family Medicine Clinic, teaches a patient about using a glucometer. Batson, a native of Houma, Louisiana, says, “Monitoring blood glucose on a daily basis allows the patient to have better control over the choices they make. It starts with the 3 C's in life: choices, chances, changes. You must make a choice, to take a chance, or your life will never change.” (U.S. Navy photo by Deidre Smith, Naval Hospital Jacksonville/Released).
