Soldiers of the 35th Infantry Division and the 35th ID Association listened while Maj. Matt Hapke, a current Soldier with the 35th Infantry Division, reads the bio for Plt. Sgt. Noel Long who is being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. Long served heroically in the 35ID during WWII receiving two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his wounds. He was a member of the 35ID Association until his passing in 2009. Members of the 35th Infantry Division Association and Soldiers currently assigned to the 35th Infantry Division convened at the Hilton Kansas City Airport Hotel on Sept 7, 2019, to celebrate the Division's illustrious history and to conduct the Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
