Ms. Gina Petrino, center, a contracting procurement analyst with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Transatlantic Expeditionary District, receives the prestigious Steel Order of the de Fleury medal, from Col. Kenneth Reed, the district commander, and senior enlisted advisor, Sgt. Maj. Jun Tomagan, at a ceremony held at the TAE headquarters, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, on 22 Jan.
The de Fleury Medal is a symbol of leadership and devotion to the engineering career field presented by the U.S. Army Engineer Association, to only a few Soldiers and Civilians every year.
Petrino received her medal in recognition of her service to the Defense Security Cooperation Management Office’s efforts during Operation FREEDOM'S SENTINEL and Operation ALLIED REFUGEE. Petrino also was presented the Joint Civilian Service Commendation Medal from DSCMO as well, both being presented by senior TAE leadership, as Petrino winds down her tour with the Expeditionary District.
