Tech. Sgt. Jannet Freshley, an instructor loadmaster assigned to the 36th Airlift Squadron, performs pre-flight checks on a C-130J Super Hercules, prior to an cargo airdrop as part of the Airborne 22 exercise, at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Jan. 26, 2022. During the exercise, aircraft from Yokota and Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, dropped more than 100 bundles weighing 1,100 pounds each, in support of Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force operations. Training events like this work to increase effective interoperability, providing advantages whenever both countries work together during bi-lateral operations. (Photo by Tech. Sgt. Gustavo Castillo)
