A Japan Ground Self-Defense Force member, assigned to the 1st Airborne Brigade, checks container delivery system bundles inside a C-130J Super Hercules, prior to an airdrop as part of the Airborne 22 exercise, at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Jan. 26, 2022. During the exercise, aircraft from Yokota and Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, dropped more than 100 bundles weighing 1,100 pounds each, in support of Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force operations. Training events like this increase effective interoperability, providing advantages whenever both countries work together during bi-lateral operations. (Photo by Tech. Sgt. Gustavo Castillo)
