PONCE, Puerto Rico (Jan. 25, 2022) — Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro tours the pilothouse aboard the Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Milwaukee (LCS 5) in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Jan. 25, 2022. Secretary Del Toro was visiting Puerto Rico to celebrate the 500th anniversary of San Juan, meet with local officials, and to visit the Sailors aboard the Milkwaukee, which is deployed to U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations to support Joint Interagency Task Force South’s mission, which includes counter-illicit drug trafficking missions in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
