NAVAL BASE GUAM (Feb. 1, 2022) - Vice Adm. Yancy Lindsey, Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), is briefed by U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) Security Officer, Lt. Eliot Fiaschi during a tour of the NBG Emergency Operations Center/Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC), Feb. 1. The BDOC at NBG is a command and control facility established by the installation commander to serve as the focal point for base security, defense, and anti-terrorism and is presently the only BDOC onboard a CNIC installation. NBG is one of 70 installations worldwide overseen by CNIC, providing services to the fleet, fighter, and families. During the official site visit at NBG, Lindsey was briefed on the installation and tenant commands' missions, toured facilities including Polaris Point, Unaccompanied Housing, and various wharves and piers. Lindsey also met with Sailors and other Department of the Navy civilian personnel.
