U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Konata Crumbly accomplishes being the first African American to hold the position of wing commander for the 116th Air Control Wing in the Georgia Air National Guard. In 2018, Crumbly was appointed wing commander of the 116th Air Control Wing, he currently serves as the director for Joint Staff of the Georgia Department of Defense.
